I had the privilege of taking a relaxing RV trip with my wife to Alberta this month during the Calgary Stampede days. Alberta has many interesting places to visit like Canada’s Dinosaur Museum in Drumheller and the fascinating, Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump near Fort Mcleod. This World Heritage Site is famous for its remarkable testimony of Aboriginal history and how the people of the land practiced a form of group hunting for nearly 6,000 years before European contact by forcing the once abundant western plain buffalo off cliffs, and how their lives changed after the settlers arrived.
Interestingly, my highlight of the trip wasn’t visiting the Calgary Stampede. In fact, we didn’t even go to the event that now features an “All-Beef Cricket Hot Dog, made using cricket protein, whole roasted crickets and beef, topped off with your favorite condiments… [and an] 18+ drag queen show featuring communist trans performer Karla Marx.” Oh how times have changed!
My highlight happened on the last day of our trip at a People’s Party Meet n Greet in Springbank, Alberta where I had the privilege of meeting and talking with Pastor Artur Pawlowski. If you don’t know who this man is, you should. He is a hero and living reminder that we are no longer free in Canada. Over the course of two years, this man has gone from receiving a $1500 fine for feeding (providing the necessities of life) to the homeless of Calgary during the cold winter of 2020, to today, where he has been jailed multiple times and is currently under strict curfew from 7pm to 7am. He, like Tamara Lich, is a political prisoner because he defied unjustified lockdowns and mandates.
Meeting and talking with Pastor Artur was my highlight because it caused me to reflect on why I am willing to jump in the fire and be involved in Canadian politics. If you don’t see it yet, you should; our country has been hijacked. It is being systematically dismantled as we speak. Our freedoms, prosperity and sovereignty are being taken from us. The Official Opposition Conservative Party is now broadcasting a potential Fall election on social media and are again characteristically assuming the fetal position.
We live in a time that requires urgent bold leadership! There is only one leader with the credentials, skills and experience to take our country back and his name is Maxime Bernier. We need a commonsense revolution; a different way of doing politics, based on principles; a PEOPLE movement.
