For almost 4 years I have carried the PPC banner as the candidate of record for Chilliwack-Hope, and it has been an honor to do so. Due to the support of our great team, we managed to build something here in the valley, and we hope to continue building.
Though I remain active within the Fraser Valley PPC Association, I announced over a year ago that I would not be running again as a candidate.
Finding candidates to run is challenging – especially for parties as young as ours. It takes a special kind of patriot to put themselves forward given our current political climate.
Elizabeth Drocholl is a patriot, and she will be an excellent candidate when the Liberal Party of Canada decides to call an election. She has my full confidence and support. Liz has had a long and distinguished career working in Corrections and the federal public service. She brings to the table experience, passion, and a genuine heart for people.
Liz stood up for our Constitutional rights during the recent pandemic, which demonstrated courage and conviction. Voices like hers are desperately needed in Parliament. I am going to be working hard to help her win the Member of Parliament seat in our House of Commons, and I hope you, too, will join me in this effort, with your active membership, volunteer spirit and financial support during the inter-election period.
