Leadership Debate Commission Says No... Again.

I told you last month how the Leaders’ Debates Commission changed its participation criteria to make it more difficult for me to be on the stage with the other leaders in the coming election.

If the Commission had kept the criteria from the 2021 election, I would have automatically qualified to take part in this year’s debates.

This change obviously had only one purpose, one that unites the whole political establishment in Ottawa: Making it easier to exclude the PPC.

When they announced their criteria in January though, we noticed that they had not taken into account the PPC submission to their consultation last summer.

They explained they had not received it because of a “technical error” in their email server.

What a joke!

So they reviewed their criteria and... guess what? Nothing changed!

They predictably decided to not modify their new participation criteria.

It’s still possible for the PPC to qualify, but we are again at the mercy of dubious polls, some of which we know deliberately exclude the PPC from the list of potential responses, which inevitably understates our level of support.

According to the Commission’s criteria, these must show the PPC has the support of at least 4% of voters on average at the beginning of the election campaign.

I am extremely grateful to the more than 25,000 people who signed our petition to tell the Commission that the PPC’s voice needs to be heard.

Let’s show the Commission bureaucrats and the whole political and media establishment that wants to silence us that our voice will be heard, no matter what they do!
